In late September we went on an ITT (the military's travel agency) trip to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in Panmunjeom, Korea. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half. It is 155 miles long and approximately 2.5 miles wide, and is the most heavily armed border in the world.
We learned that in 1953 an Armistice was signed, however, was never followed by a peace treaty SO North and South Korea are technically still at war.
