We Be Jammin'

There are lots of u-pick places here since we live in a "farmy", rural community. So, one Saturday we decided to load up the kids and go pick raspberries. When it was all said and done the ten of us had picked about 20 pints or "punnets" as they're called here. And...what do you do with 20 punnets of raspberries you ask...you make jam!

At the end of the night we had 9 quarts of beautiful raspberry jam. We've lived overseas so long and in Asia fruit is at a premium so the kids don't remember much about making jam when we were in Colorado. They were a little reluctant at first but the oldest four kids got to each make a batch and they seemed to have fun whilst doing it.

H and C are still not sure that they like this adventure.
