This is onboard the ferry (our Suburban is in the belly of the ferry). S bought a couple bowls of french fries and the vultures descended.
The bell rang and we were supposed to go down and reclaim our vehicles and be ready to drive out of the ferry. Hello France!
I had to get a picture of this. L really has no idea how to play a Gameboy but he insisted on having one. By the time we got off the ferry in Calais it was almost dark. We had to drive 3 hours to our hotel. It was actually dark outside and he couldn't see his game so C gave him a mini-mag flashlight and this was his remedy for the darkness. He has the light in his mouth so he can see.
This is our "no frills" hotel. It is called Formula-1. The rooms were literally a full-sized bed on the bottom with a bunk over the top, There was a sink and a mirror but the bed structure took up most of the room...where are the bathrooms you ask...well...they're down the hall, out the door and they were on both the left and right. They were "self-cleaning" toilets in one room and the shower rooms were separate (self-cleaning as well). They looked a lot like porta-potties albeit clean porta-potties.
This is Garmisch, Germany. Our hotel is in this village. Germany is extremely pretty!
