Water barrel fun

We bought these 50 gallon barrels in Colorado before we left the States. We got them from the Pepsi or Coke plant...they were filled with syrup. we wanted to use them for water storage.

We filled them up while we were in Japan because the typhoons sometimes knock out the power and water. We were only in Korea for a year so we did not fill them up. When we got here we had a power outage and since our water comes from a well we had no water while the power was out. We decided to pull these out and fill them. Since they had not been used for a while we decided to bleach them to make them safe for water storage. We put a sufficient amount of bleach in each one, capped them up and let the kids have fun in the yard with them.
