New Years tamales!

Ok, so, the kids decided that we need a new tradition to start off the new year and that it should be making tamales. Since I LOVE tamales this new tradition was automatically adopted. Our first go at it was fairly successful. The meat filling was tasty but the masa needed a bit more flavor. The kids were a little less discerning and thought they were great.

This is only part of them. I had to get creative on the steamer but it worked.
